Congressman Trent Franks is planning a petition walk to gather signatures for his campaign in LD9 on Saturday, April 24, 2010 beginning at 9:30am. We will meet at the Maricopa County GOP office, at 99th ave/Bell*.
*This begins at 9:30am and will last a few hours. Come for as long as you can.

EPIC 2015 – The Future of the Internet and the Press

It draws on history (what did they say, Al Gore didn’t develop the internet? What other lies could Gore have told us ;o), and moves into speculation of what will happen in the next few years.
This is particularly pointed after yesterday’s (Feb. 27, 2009) closing of the Rocky Mountain News, a newspaper that had been in business for about 150 years. Our world is changing and we Republicans are trying to stay ahead of the curve. Technology is a key component in our developing strategy.

This is an amazing video. How does this relate to us? Maybe the better question is, What could we do if we set high goals and didn’t let anything stop us from achieving them? What amazing things can we accomplish on LD 9?
I have been thinking a lot about PC training. Last night I found out from Jeremiah Wilson that the state office is in the process of developing training for us. We can all use more training to increase and sharpen our skills. After watching what these people did on this video–amazing physical feats–I’m wondering what we can accomplish if we really try.

This is shocking. If you’re a concerned legislator in Texas one thing you can’t do is leave your seat, especially if you’re sitting near a member of the other party. They may cast your vote for you–one that you wouldn’t want to have your name tied to.
